Collection & Artists
The Museum of Fine Arts houses a collection of paintings, drawings and sculptures generally recognised by specialists as one of the most important in Belgium.
The collection spans the ancient and modern periods (15th to 19th centuries), with a few contemporary additions. It is mainly made up of the collection of the great Brussels patron Henri Van Cutsem (1839 - 1904), as well as former local collections.
By focusing on certain artists through cross-disciplinary themes, the museum's curators regularly shed new light on the museum's rich collection.
