Publications

Designed with a view to reinstating important artists in our collections, and with the desire to enhance the museum's history and its key works, our publications reflect the in-depth studies carried out by the museum's scientific team, as well as the contemporary views of specialists, authors and artists on our heritage.

Collection "petits albums"

The "petits albums" collection brings together one or more written notes, thumbnail images, large reproductions that are skilfully folded, postcards, facsimiles, etc. It provides an opportunity to invite authors from a wide range of intellectual backgrounds – art historians, philosophers, writers, artists – to tackle the key works in the collection in a spirit of curiosity. Small in size and sold at low prices, the museum's mini albums make visitors feel like they are taking a piece of art home with them. Designed to help you step outside time, removed from the museum's current goings-on, these pieces are devoted to universal subjects dealt with by artists of great renown. They attract a broad audience and help to raise the profile of the museum and its collections in a wider environment.

Collection "Feuillets d’artistes"

"Feuillets d'artistes" are books devoted to the monographic sets in Henri Van Cutsem's collection. Our leaflets are made up of alternating panels inviting analogies between images and columns of texts written by authors from different backgrounds, inviting a wide range of interpretations. Through this collection of "ligh" works, we hope to restore the place of the works in history as well as to suggest other paths that they might lead to.
