Guillaume Van Strydonck - Portrait d'amis à Blanckenberge

The collector and patron Henri Van Cutsem regularly welcomed his artist friends to his house in Blankenberge - the Villa Quisisana - to offer them a place to work or simply spend time with them. He is shown presiding over lunch in the company of his guests seated around a large oval table. From left to right : Dr François Henrijean, professor at the University of Liège, the sculptor Guillaume Charlier, the painter André Collin, the notary Lucien Damiens, the painter himself Guillaume Van Strydonck, and the lawyer and archaeologist Henri Damiens. Finally, Van Cutsem is seated at the far right of the painting.
